Re:ZERO
Re:ゼロから始める異世界生活
Subaru arrives in a fantasy world and tries to help the silver-haired girl who first helps him. His unusual ability returns him to an earlier point after death. Repeating events gives him another chance to intervene, but leaves him carrying experiences that the people around him do not share.
Remembering danger is not the same as being able to persuade everyone else or prevent it. Repeated attempts to change a disastrous future make helping another person a problem of trust as well as survival.
Subaru initially expects the familiar privileges of a hero summoned to another world. Instead, local thugs beat him without an extraordinary power arriving to win the encounter. The opening places his knowledge of fantasy conventions against a body that can still be hurt, before he understands the ability he has actually received.
