Privacy policy
This policy explains what information Animebound handles when you read the site or contact us, and the choices you have. For a question about it, use the contact form or email otaku@animebound.com.
Analytics
We use Umami to measure visits and page performance. Umami says its web tracker uses no cookies. It groups a visitor’s activity with a temporary identifier made from the IP address and browser details, which changes each month. Umami says IP addresses are not kept as a field in analytics records, though Umami and its suppliers may hold them in separate service logs.
It records page paths and titles, referrers, device, browser and operating system, language, screen size, how quickly pages load and approximate location, down to city. We do not send search terms or the rest of an address after a question mark. Analytics are stored in the European Union and kept for six months; delivery, security and support can involve other countries. See Umami’s privacy policy.
We rely on our interest in understanding how the site is used. You can refuse at any time by excluding your browser below.
Your analytics preference
Exclude this browser from analytics. Opening this link in a new tab excludes that page before analytics loads. Animebound stores only this analytics preference in your browser’s local storage; it is not a visitor identifier.
Set it separately in each browser profile, device, in-app browser and private session. Clearing site data removes the preference. Close or reload already-open Animebound tabs after excluding this browser. Earlier visits cannot be removed from the counts.
Analytics preference controls need JavaScript.
Allowing analytics again removes this preference and reloads the page. It does not change your other browser settings.
When you contact us
The contact form collects your name, email address and message so we can handle your question or correction and reply. We rely on our interest in answering you. If you email us directly, we receive your address and whatever you include. Please send only what your message needs.
When you open the contact page, Cloudflare Turnstile checks for spam, using technical signals including your IP address and browser details, before you send anything. Resend delivers your message to our Titan email inbox. The inbox copy remains separate from Resend’s delivery records. We keep messages for as long as we need them to handle your request and keep a record of corrections.
If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before sending us personal information.
Website delivery and security
Cloudflare processes requests to serve and protect the site. This involves technical information such as your IP address, browser details and the pages you request. Our error logs are designed to leave out message contents and contact details. Hosting and email providers may keep their own service records.
Cookies and browser storage
Animebound’s own code sets no cookies. Cloudflare may set security cookies, such as __cf_bm, to protect the website from automated abuse. Your browser’s local storage keeps your analytics exclusion, only if you choose one.
Trailers and links
YouTube connects only when you choose to load a trailer; YouTube’s own policy then applies. We link to our Instagram and X profiles without embedding them on our pages. Following a source, platform or social media link takes you to a separate website with its own privacy practices.
Our providers
These providers may process information outside your country. For details about how they handle data, see Umami’s privacy policy, Cloudflare’s privacy policy, Cloudflare’s Turnstile privacy notice, Resend’s privacy policy and Titan’s privacy policy.
Your rights
To access, correct or delete information you have sent us, use the contact form or email otaku@animebound.com. We may need enough information to confirm that a request relates to you.
Depending on the law that applies, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a data protection authority. Some records may need to be kept where the law requires or permits it.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our services or data handling change. Where required, we will give further notice or ask for consent before a new use of personal information.
Privacy policy updated 1 November 2026.
