A schoolboy handles bullying, chores and social disasters with such elaborate cool that everyday problems become comic performances.
Sakamoto's classmates try to embarrass, imitate or understand him, but each challenge supplies another occasion for an improbable solution. The humour comes from the gap between an ordinary school setting and the seriousness with which everyone responds to his effortless-looking style.

The premise depends on witnesses as much as on Sakamoto. A small task becomes a spectacle because classmates and adults treat his composure as an event worth decoding. Their reactions give the impossible elegance a recognisably ordinary setting. The accompanying group frame makes room for that audience, while the lead keeps Sakamoto's immaculate uniform and conspicuous poise in view. This is an episodic comedy rather than a training story whose protagonist gradually acquires competence. Begin with the first television episode; the original episode 13 was released as a disc bonus and follows the twelve broadcast episodes.
