Shuichi Kagaya is trying to maintain an ordinary school life while hiding his ability to become an animal-like costume creature. Clair Aoki discovers his secret and wants answers of her own. Their encounter draws them into a struggle over mysterious coins, where other transformed people can turn an unfamiliar body into a weapon.
Shuichi’s body can be entered like a costume, giving Clair a way to fight from inside it. The resulting partnership joins his physical power to someone far more willing to act aggressively. Searching for Clair’s missing sister and dealing with other coin hunters make their dependence on each other more difficult than simply agreeing to share a secret. The distributor flags sexual violence and suicide alongside violence and sexual content.
The student seated at a classroom desk still belongs to a world of lessons, lockers and familiar routines. Keeping that position means controlling what classmates can learn about his other form. Clair changes that balance by knowing something he cannot dismiss or safely explain away, so the ordinary school setting is also the place where concealment begins to fail.
