Cyberpunk 2077’s free Update 2.5 adds a quest set before the events of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2. CD PROJEKT RED’s 21 October patch notes detail the anime crossover, and its 22 October launch announcement confirms the update’s release.
The new side quest, Clampdown, becomes available after completing The Heist and two gigs for Wakako. Players then need to wait for her message. A five-piece gear set based on King can be obtained during the quest, while the new HKGN 102.0 FM radio station plays a selection of tracks from the Edgerunners anime series.
The launch notice lists PC, Mac, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with Nintendo Switch 2 coming later. The 21 October patch notes distinguish the Mac versions: Steam, GOG and Epic Games Store were listed for 22 October, with the Mac App Store edition to follow in the subsequent days. No exact later release day is given.
