A young priestess sets out with her first adventuring party and discovers how badly a goblin hunt can go wrong. An armoured specialist rescues her. Known only as Goblin Slayer, he devotes his work to the small monsters that other adventurers are willing to underestimate.
Priestess accompanies him on these narrowly chosen jobs, learning that his habits come from a traumatic past. His refusal to treat goblins as a minor problem shapes how he prepares and what requests he accepts. The opening makes that danger brutally explicit; sexual violence and graphic attacks are part of the material, not just an ominous fantasy setting.

Cow Girl, his childhood friend, works at the farm where he stays between jobs. Her place in his life gives those returns somewhere specific to lead, beyond the guild and the next hunt. Alongside Priestess’s growing experience, that continuing tie shows the ordinary human connections around a man intent on doing one dangerous thing.
