Wistoria: Wand and Sword

杖と剣のウィストリア

Will looks back over his shoulder in the academy uniform.

Will studies at a magic academy despite being unable to cast magic. In a society that treats magical ability as a measure of worth, he relies on his sword and physical skill. He wants to keep a promise to someone important to him, even when teachers and classmates dismiss his route.

Will also works at a tavern run by dwarves. With the academy’s magic festival approaching, Julius, one of its leading students, arrives there. The job gives Will a life outside the school, but the visit brings its hierarchy into that space too.

Will, wearing glasses and a dark uniform, holds his sword inside the dungeon.

The academy’s highest ambition is to reach the MagiaVende, the five foremost mages. Will pursues that rank to keep his promise to his childhood friend Elfaria. His goal uses the society’s own standard of success even though his way of pursuing it is unwelcome.
