Gurren Lagann
天元突破グレンラガン
Simon and Kamina live beneath the surface, where digging is part of daily survival. A small machine and an unexpected attack open a route into the world above. Their journey brings them into conflict with giant machines and the powers that keep humanity underground.
Reaching the surface does not mean the fighting is finished. Yoko’s village is repeatedly attacked by the machines called Gunmen, and its residents already know how to resist. Simon and Kamina arrive as newcomers to an existing struggle, with Simon’s unfamiliar Lagann drawing the mechanic Leeron’s attention.
For Simon, reaching that world is not the same as feeling ready for it. When another attack reaches Yoko’s village, he freezes while the residents go to defend it. Kamina pushes towards the fight instead. The machines make their escape possible, but the two boys bring very different levels of confidence to piloting them.
