Touka is summoned to another world with his classmates, then discarded when a goddess grades his abilities as the lowest rank. Left in ruins where survival is considered impossible, he tries to escape using the status-effect skills she rejected. Surviving gives his journey a target: revenge against the goddess.
Inside the ruins, Touka tests the properties of his status-effect skills while gaining levels against monsters. He needs to understand what the rejected abilities actually do before he can escape. The opening makes experimentation under pressure the practical answer to the goddess’s verdict on his worth.
The goddess Vicius presents the summoning as recruitment for a war against the Great Demon Emperor. Her crystal assessment divides the same class into prized fighters and a boy she decides can be thrown away. Touka’s revenge therefore starts with a system of selection: the person who brought the class here also decides whose survival matters.
