Mob Psycho 100

モブサイコ100

Mob uses his psychic powers, surrounded by a pink aura.

Shigeo Kageyama, nicknamed Mob, has psychic powers but struggles to express himself. He works part-time for Reigen, a supposed psychic who relies on Mob to handle real spirits. Mob wants an ordinary teenage life, including getting fitter and closer to his crush, while powerful emotions threaten his self-control.

Mob joins the Body Improvement Club, but an ordinary run along the river is enough to exhaust him. Improving his fitness gives him something to practise with his own body, regardless of his psychic abilities. His wish for an ordinary school life includes the small struggle of keeping up with the other runners.

Mob reacts with his mouth open and a drop of sweat on his cheek against an orange burst of colour.

Before joining the runners, Mob attracts the attention of the Telepathy Club, which needs another member to avoid being shut down. To them, he is a possible solution to a school problem, even before any question of real psychic ability. The club’s persistence adds a different kind of pressure from an exorcism. Mob can move extraordinary things, yet still find it difficult to decide what he wants from an ordinary afternoon.
