Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion

コードギアス 反逆のルルーシュ

Lelouch holds a sheet of paper while standing outside the academy.

Japan has become Area 11 under Britannian occupation. Lelouch obtains Geass, a mysterious power he intends to turn against the empire. His childhood friend Suzaku serves in its military and pilots the Lancelot combat machine, placing the two boys on different sides of a struggle over how the country should change.

Back at Ashford Academy, Lelouch encounters Kallen, a member of the armed group he directed during an earlier battle. She suspects she recognises his voice, and each tries to find out how much the other knows. Their guarded exchanges turn a school encounter into a question of trust and concealment.

Lelouch and an ensemble appear beneath a large image of C.C.’s green hair.

C.C., the green-haired girl who gives Lelouch his power, also enters the ordinary school life he is trying to keep apart from rebellion. When she settles uninvited in his room at Ashford, his secret is no longer something he can leave outside the academy gates.
