Shiba Inu Rooms will become a TV anime in summer 2027. The announcement trailer on TMS Entertainment’s channel and a new official site appeared on 1 November. Neither gives a day, month or broadcaster.
A cheap apartment comes with a ghost dog
The official premise is a new one-bedroom apartment in a building called Maison Shiba, offered at a rent of ¥4,800. The catch is Mu, a Shiba Inu ghost bound to the room. High schooler Kori Momose wants a comfortable life on her own, so she tries everything she can think of to deal with Mu. The neighbours and their own dogs turn it into a warm comedy.
Niina Nakabayashi voices Kori and Mutsumi Tamura voices Mu. Osamu Yamasaki directs, Rio designs the characters and TMS Entertainment makes the series.
