Otaku Vampire’s Love Bite is getting a TV anime, its new official website announced on 4 November with a teaser and a visual. The manga, Oshi ni Amagami in Japanese, is the latest series by Julietta Suzuki, creator of Kamisama Kiss, and runs in Hakusensha’s Hana to Yume magazine.
A vampire who lives for her favourite
Hina is a vampire who has spent 30 years shut away, and she moves to Japan to live as a full-time fan. Her new neighbour, Amanatsu, looks exactly like her favourite character. His blood draws vampires from all over the world, so other vampires soon come after him, and Hina has to work out whether what she feels is fandom or love. The official site calls it a “bloody love comedy”.
The announcement visual sets the tone: Hina curled up in a coffin of white roses, surrounded by badges, plush toys and a body pillow of the character she adores.
