Kenjiro Tsuda, Hiroki Yasumoto and Hiroshi Kamiya have joined Shingo Natsume’s original film ghost / 夜の果て. The 21 October announcement names their characters and shares comments from all three actors.

Tsuda plays Moby Dick, the creator of the film’s virtual-reality network, who takes an interest in the young protagonist Neekei. Yasumoto plays Karate, a former teacher who manages a department at the observatory, while Kamiya plays Ito, who advises people struggling to find their direction in life. Karate and Ito are childhood friends of Mass, the man Neekei meets.

They join Mayu Hotta as Neekei and Issey Takahashi as Mass. Natsume writes and directs, with animation by Madhouse. The story is set in a future where people are classified at 18 according to whether society needs them; Neekei has already been selected at 15 but struggles to find where she belongs.
