Toradora!
とらドラ！
Ryuuji Takasu’s intimidating appearance makes people assume he is a delinquent. Small, fierce Taiga Aisaka has a reputation of her own. A confession gone wrong draws them into an awkward alliance, with Ryuuji helping Taiga approach the friend she likes.
Ryuuji’s help extends to cooking and cleaning as well as plans for Taiga’s crush. Spending time together gives them more contact than either would have chosen from a first impression. Their arrangement brings private habits into a relationship that starts from two difficult public reputations.
Taiga and Ryuuji’s arrangement exists inside a group with its own friendships and crushes. The ensemble artwork puts those other students within the same frame, rather than reducing the story to an isolated pair. Helping somebody approach another person also means becoming involved with the people already around them.
