Popular Kyoko Hori and unobtrusive Izumi Miyamura discover that their classmates’ impressions do not describe their whole lives. An accidental meeting makes them keepers of each other’s secrets. Their growing closeness draws Miyamura into a circle of friends whose own feelings are rarely straightforward.
Sharing a secret does not mean they immediately understand one another. Hori’s school days begin to include Miyamura alongside her existing friends Ishikawa and Yuki, while student-council requests add further connections. The relationship develops within that changing group rather than in isolation from it.
Miyamura’s earrings, loose hair and casual clothes change the first impression supplied by his school appearance. The difference is visible without turning him into a different person. Set beside the many faces in the cast artwork, those details make appearance something to read cautiously rather than a reliable account of somebody’s whole life.
