Two impoverished agents try to conquer a city for a tiny secret organisation while taking ordinary jobs to pay for their own survival.
Excel’s devotion to Il Palazzo gives an impossible enterprise an enthusiastic worker; Hyatt is a much less robust colleague. World conquest has to begin with local errands, yet their supposedly grand mission does not provide a living wage. Sexual jokes, nudity and violent absurdity are part of the series’ excess.
The safety helmet and work shirt bring the agents’ lofty ambitions down to the problem of earning a living. The more exuberant paired artwork restores the energy Excel directs toward the organisation. Trying to change the world remains awkward when the job does not pay enough to get through the day.
