Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Daemons of the Shadow Realm are joining Universal Cool Japan 2027, with both collaborations planned to open at Universal Studios Japan in spring 2027. The park announced the two Hiromu Arakawa adaptations together on 28 October.
USJ describes the Fullmetal Alchemist collaboration as its second, following a 2005 event. The new programme names 鋼の錬金術師 FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST, the Japanese title of Brotherhood. Daemons of the Shadow Realm will have its first theme-park collaboration. The park’s English event page confirms the English branding and spring window.
Neither attraction’s format or exact opening day has been announced. USJ has also yet to detail the related food, merchandise and individual booking arrangements in this release. The artwork identifies the participating works rather than showing a confirmed ride design.
The wider Universal Cool Japan programme begins rolling out on 2 December 2026, starting with other attractions. That umbrella date is not the opening date for the two Arakawa experiences. Anyone planning around Edward and Alphonse, or the world of Daemons, should wait for their specific dates before treating a park visit as confirmed access.
