Phantom Busters has named its four main voice actors, director and animation studio, alongside a new teaser visual. TOHO animation STUDIO is producing the television adaptation of Neoshoco’s manga, which remains scheduled for 2027.
The cast pairs Nobuhiko Okamoto with Mogari, Natsuki Hanae with Koreshiki, Koki Uchiyama with Zaki and Ryota Suzuki with Tamon. Chika Nagaoka directs, with Takahiro Kishida and Rina Iwamoto handling character design.
The story follows four high-school boys in Kamakura whose relationships with ghosts are very different. Mogari can exorcise spirits by eating them. He wants an ordinary adolescence, but arrives in town with the task of clearing its ghosts. Koreshiki is an outstanding student who does not believe in them; Zaki can see them; Tamon can talk to them, while struggling with people.
Their ghost-clearing school club gives the adaptation its title. The official introduction places their noisy school life alongside the supernatural work.
The announcement adds the people making and voicing the series, rather than a more precise premiere date. A broadcast month and international streaming plans are still to come.
