Death Stranding: Isolations has released its official teaser and named Tow Ubukata for series composition and screenplay. Kojima Productions’ 30 October announcement describes an original ensemble story set in the world of Death Stranding, with the animated series coming to Disney+ in 2027.
Takayuki Sano directs the series at E&H production. The official project overview also credits Hideo Kojima as executive producer and Ilya Kuvshinov for character design.
The series was first announced in November 2025. This update brings the teaser and Ubukata’s writing credit, rather than announcing the adaptation for the first time. The original-story description also distinguishes it from a straightforward retelling of the games.
See the official teaser in Kojima Productions’ announcement.
Isolations is one of two separate animation projects. Death Stranding: Mosquito is an animated film directed by Hiroshi Miyamoto and written by Aaron Guzikowski, according to the same official project overview. The new series announcement does not replace that film.
The 2027 window does not yet give Isolations an exact premiere date. The announcement also does not specify an Indian streaming release.
