After the defeat of Majin Buu, a conspiracy turns Goku and his companions small. The answer lies in the Demon Realm, where the Majin Glorio appears as a guide. The series begins a new journey with experienced characters in altered bodies, rather than retelling Goku’s original childhood adventures.

The early route involves retrieving the Power Pole, finding a way into unfamiliar territory and travelling with people whose local knowledge matters. Goku’s ability to fight does not make him an expert on the destination. Encounters on foot and a stop at a drive-in give the Demon Realm everyday places alongside its rulers and threats. Familiarity with Dragon Ball Z’s Majin Buu story, or Kai’s version of it, supplies useful background.

Two Majin drive-in residents, one with a red beard and one wearing a red apron, stand together.

An early stop introduces a talkative Majin couple at a drive-in. Their faces and clothing make the new world’s residents more particular than an anonymous population to rescue or fight. Pausing to hear about that place gives the journey a road-trip rhythm alongside its battles.
