Kei and Yuri are the Lovely Angels, trouble consultants employed by the WWWA to solve problems across the galaxy. Their assignments turn difficult disputes into spacefaring action. The 1985 television anime follows their professional partnership, separate from later Dirty Pair adaptations and films.
Kei is direct and impulsive; Yuri appears more reserved and thinks things through. Their partnership travels aboard the pink Lovely Angel with Mugi and the robot Nammo. The official series introduction stresses how widely the cases can change, from mystery and romance to comedy, while the two investigators remain its centre.

The scale changes sharply between Kei’s close portrait and the vast, densely built structure suspended against an alien sky. Kei and Yuri take a recognisable working relationship into environments far larger than an office or a city street. Their job gives the science-fiction settings a practical point of entry: somebody has called the consultants in.
