A gentle aspiring pop musician becomes a successful death-metal frontman whose stage persona is everything he hoped not to be.
Negishi moves to Tokyo to make the music he loves, then finds his talent flourishing in a band he cannot comfortably acknowledge. Keeping Krauser separate from his private life becomes part of the job. The comedy uses extreme lyrics and extreme performance to widen the gap between his intentions and his public identity.

The band portrait builds Krauser from armour, make-up and an imposing stage pose. The other image gives that performance an exaggerated reaction from someone nearby. Negishi’s dilemma depends on such a public identity becoming convincing to others while remaining alien to his own musical ambitions.
