Behind an apparently ordinary Tokyo, intelligence agencies deploy people with extraordinary abilities, including an operative whose harmless student identity conceals a lethal second life.

The appearance of Hell’s Gate has changed the sky and introduced Contractors whose powers come with unusual conditions. Hei works within that hidden conflict while moving through the city as Li Shenshun. Cases and encounters let the series shift between an agent’s assigned task and the lives affected by a world that cannot return to normal.

Hei’s mask makes the separation between public identity and covert work visible. The ensemble artwork places him among people whose roles belong to the same shadow economy of information and ability. What looks like a self-contained mission can therefore expose another part of a larger mystery. This scope includes the original series’ unbroadcast extra, rather than silently adding the distinct second television story.
