Orario is built above a vast dungeon where adventurers face monsters and seek rewards. Bell Cranel wants to join them, but every Familia has turned him away. Hestia, a goddess with no followers, offers him a place in hers: two outsiders begin a household and a small adventuring enterprise together.
Ais, the swordswoman who rescues Bell, gives his wish to improve a specific target. His devotion produces an unusual growth ability, so an emotional attachment has a measurable effect on his progress. Levels and equipment make that progress visible, while affection complicates what might otherwise be a straightforward climb through tougher monsters.

Hestia wants to help her only follower even after learning that Ais is the person inspiring his growth. In episode 2 she approaches the more powerful goddess Hephaestus for a weapon suited to Bell’s new ability. Better equipment depends on someone else’s work and persuasion, giving his tiny Familia a practical role alongside his dungeon battles.
