A young exorcist with an unusual left arm joins an order fighting Akuma, weapons made from machinery, trapped souls and human tragedy.

Allen’s ability connects him to Innocence, the power that can destroy the Millennium Earl’s creations. Reaching the Order does not give him an effortless welcome: a misunderstanding brings him into conflict with Kanda. The institution offers fellow exorcists, but not immediate agreement about the young newcomer.

The marked red eye places the confrontation on a face rather than an abstract battlefield. The series’ mechanical monsters are bound to souls and loss, giving the combat a source in human vulnerability. Allen’s striking appearance belongs to that same border between ordinary people and extraordinary forces. The long original television run introduces this conflict without claiming to finish the manga or include Hallow.
