Light wants to become an adventurer, but the skill fruit he eats gives him Fruitmaster, an ability suited to growing fruit. His childhood friend Lena receives Sword Saint and moves into a very different career. Then Light accidentally eats a second fruit, something that should be fatal, and discovers that his supposed failure can let him acquire more skills.
The exception changes the practical meaning of his first ability. Fruitmaster is no longer only a farming skill: it gives Light access to powers other people cannot safely obtain. Adventuring becomes possible again, but he has to learn what those new abilities can do rather than simply exchanging one job title for another.

Reaching the adventurers’ guild also brings Light back to Lena, whose cold response does not match the reunion he expected. That distance gives his new opportunity a personal question alongside the expanding set of skills: catching up with his childhood friend is not the same thing as understanding what her new life has become.
