On discovering that his blue flames come from a demonic parentage, Rin enters exorcist training and tries to choose a place for himself among those who fight demons.
His inheritance gives the school’s lessons a personal contradiction: the powers he must learn to control also connect him to what his new profession opposes. His twin brother and the people who raised him make family part of that conflict. Training, classroom relationships and supernatural confrontations develop together in this first television adaptation.

Shiro’s glasses and cross place a familiar adult face inside the religious imagery of exorcism. Rin’s background is not merely a secret power waiting to be unlocked; it concerns the people who have given him a home and an account of who he is. That relationship gives the blue-flame action a more intimate stake before the story expands into the training institution.
